Emory is considered a &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Ivy" title="Southern Ivy"&gt;Southern Ivy&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Robert Winship Woodruff&lt;/b&gt; (&lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/December_6" title="December 6"&gt;December 6&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1889" title="1889"&gt;1889&lt;/a&gt; – &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_7" title="March 7"&gt;March 7&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1985" title="1985"&gt;1985&lt;/a&gt;) was the president of &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Coca-Cola_Company" title="The Coca-Cola Company"&gt;The Coca-Cola Company&lt;/a&gt; from &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1923" title="1923"&gt;1923&lt;/a&gt; until &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1954" title="1954"&gt;1954&lt;/a&gt;. With his enormous Coke fortune, he was also a major philanthropist, and many educational and cultural landmarks in the &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States" title="United States"&gt;U.S.&lt;/a&gt; city of &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta%2C_Georgia" title="Atlanta, Georgia"&gt;Atlanta, Georgia&lt;/a&gt;, bear his name.&lt;br /&gt;In 1979, Woodruff and his brother gave $105 million to Emory University and would eventually give a total of $230 million dollars. Several buildings on the Emory &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campus" title="Campus"&gt;campus&lt;/a&gt; are named for him and members of his family.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;The Coca-Cola Company&lt;/b&gt; (&lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_Stock_Exchange" title="New York Stock Exchange"&gt;NYSE&lt;/a&gt;: &lt;a href="http://www.nyse.com/about/listed/ko.html" class="external text" title="http://www.nyse.com/about/listed/ko.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;KO&lt;/a&gt;) is the world's largest beverage company, largest manufacturer, distributor and marketer of non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syrup" title="Syrup"&gt;syrups&lt;/a&gt; in the world, and one of the largest corporations in the United States.&lt;br /&gt;The company is best known for its flagship product &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola" title="Coca-Cola"&gt;Coca-Cola&lt;/a&gt;, invented by pharmacist &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Stith_Pemberton" class="mw-redirect" title="John Stith Pemberton"&gt;John Stith Pemberton&lt;/a&gt; in 1886.&lt;br /&gt;The Coca-Cola formula and brand was bought in &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1889" title="1889"&gt;1889&lt;/a&gt; by &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asa_Candler" class="mw-redirect" title="Asa Candler"&gt;Asa Candler&lt;/a&gt; who incorporated The Coca-Cola Company in 1892. Besides its namesake Coca-Cola beverage, Coca-Cola currently offers nearly 400 brands in over 300 countries or territories and serves 1.5 billion servings each day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Candler became mayor of Atlanta in 1916 and ended his day-to-day management of the Coca-Cola Company. /&gt;有人說，這好比是要求英國採用美國的拼字方式，是可忍孰不可忍。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;反對此議的葡萄牙著名詩人莫拉表示：「我們不必屈從巴西。」葡萄牙曾是版圖遼闊的殖民帝國，全球以葡語為官方語文的人口大約2億3,000萬，葡文巴西化勢必有損葡萄牙人的民族自尊心。&lt;br /&gt;但形勢比人強，名列金磚四國之一的巴西擁有1億9,000萬人口，葡萄牙只有1,060萬人口。葡萄牙國會預定15日針對這項構想進行表決。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;倡議者強調，葡文巴西化的好處包括網路搜尋更簡便，國際合約的法律措辭得以一致。&lt;br /&gt;聯合國將6種語文列為官方語文，葡萄牙官員期望透過葡文巴西化，使葡文也能成為聯合國官方語文。&lt;br /&gt;除葡萄牙之外，使用葡文的其他國家包括巴西、安哥拉、莫三鼻給、東帝汶、維德角、幾內亞比索、聖多美普林西比。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;葡文巴西化將剔除無聲子音，使拼寫與發音更接近；字母增加K、W、Y，總數成為26個，連字符號與重音的規則經過修改。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br style=""&gt;第二屆碩士班與第一屆學士班的招生作業。特別是，第一屆碩士班同學生們，素質優秀，合作無間，不僅積極辦理第二屆碩士班考生說明會，並且也跨界大力支持第一屆學士班考生說明會，可作為未來學弟妹們的榜樣。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;h2&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;迎丹頂仙鶴來金山‧招天下英才集法鼓&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/h2&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 12pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;2007&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;年&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;11&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;月下旬，四隻丹頂鶴來到台北縣金山鄉的溼地度冬，二隻成鳥，二隻亞成鳥，鳥友們推斷應該是一個家族。過去，在台灣觀察到丹頂鶴的紀錄有兩次，&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;1932&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;年在宜蘭羅東幼鳥一隻，但被獵捕，剝製成標本。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;2003&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;年在台北縣貢寮一隻，但被槍擊受傷，現已康復，居留動物園中。此回是第三次，據整天守望的生態攝影工作者施議貳先生說︰「此丹頂鶴家族受到台北縣金山鄉民愛護，不僅讓出稻田，不收割，以免打擾；有位郭姓的鄉民擔心牠們吃到有農藥的穀物，每天定時灑飼料供食，該飼料則由某飼料行免費提供」。台北縣政府得知剛動工的金山鄉二之三號道路工程將橫切丹頂鶴棲息濕地後表示︰只要丹頂鶴或其他候鳥在，就不動工，生態與建設並重，要農業局與環保局檢討是否有調整路線的必要，目前縣政府已經表示將此工程停工，以保護濕地的完整性。由此，或許可讓我們對於人性的善良面與國民素質的提升產生一些信心。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 12pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;對東亞地區的居民而言，丹頂鶴象徵長壽，&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;忠貞、吉祥、高潔。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;在印度文化中，是屬於奇妙之鳥，出現在美妙之地。在佛典中常以鶴鳴來形容「和雅之音」比喻佛陀說法音聲之美妙；或者將白鶴好淨習性比喻修行人不起貪欲，遠離苦惱。此外，在佛經中，白鶴專注捕食的習性也被作為修行禪思的比喻。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;此次丹頂鶴來金山之國際生態盛事，我與法鼓佛教研修學院的同仁，利用&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;2008&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;年元旦假日，前往觀賞。現場有許多鳥友們架設專業設備觀察與攝影，並且常將鏡頭、畫面與知識與一般遊客分享，氣氛融洽且歡樂，共同觀賞如此美妙之鳥來臨金山勝地。當下，讓我興起招「天下英才集法鼓山而教之」的期待。以丹頂鶴來金山的殊勝因緣，我本來想用「連丹頂鶴都來了，絕頂聰明的您還不來﹗」的詞句作為本年度的招生廣告詞，但是似乎有些俗氣。所以，改用「迎丹頂仙鶴來金山‧招天下英才集法鼓」，希望有志、有緣之學子雲來集。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;h2&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;從「中華電子佛典協會」&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;(CBETA)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;到「整合型佛教數位典藏」&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;(IBA)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;與「國際佛教數位學習協會」&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;(International Buddhist e-Learning Association&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;，&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt; IBELA) &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/h2&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;   &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;2008 &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;年&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt; 2 &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;月&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt; 15 &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;日是&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;中華佛學研究所與法鼓佛教研修學院所支援的&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;中華電子佛典協會&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;(CBETA)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;成立十週年的紀念日。依照慣例，舉辦年度成果發表會，發行「&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;CBETA&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;電子佛典集成&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt; Version 2008&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;」&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;CD&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;，內容含大正藏&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;1-55&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;冊、&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;85&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;冊及卍續藏&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;1-88&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;冊、&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;­&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;新式標點經文&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;230 &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;經&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;(1411&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;卷&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;、佛教藏經目錄查詢、同義詞查詢、&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;Exclude&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;運算檢索等。並且與法鼓佛教研修學院配合，於&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;2 &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;月&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;16-17&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;日舉行「數位佛學研究」國際會議，以及&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;19-20&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;日舉辦「數位佛學研究」工作坊。借此因緣，感謝十年來所有參與電子佛典的建構者與護持大眾，同時邀請國際相關的專家學者齊聚一堂，分享成果並且展望未來。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-US"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;此次國際會議主題包括︰「走在數位人文科學的尖端」的主題演說，數位辭典編纂，漢語、梵語、巴利語、藏語佛典電子資料庫，學者回應及未來展望等論文場次。我們希望借由這些議題的討論，發展出「整合型佛教數位典藏」&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;(Integrated Buddhist Archives&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;，&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;IBA)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;的可能性，因為各別語系或不同性質的資料庫已經進行到相當成熟的階段，讓它們能相互整合與互相參照，似乎是未來我們可以共同努力的目標。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;此外，法鼓山中華佛學研究所從&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;2003&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;年度開始著手建立&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;e-Leaning &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;數位學習系統（&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;現由「法鼓佛教研修學院」繼續發展）&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;，試圖&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;透過實例探討或經驗分享，協助學生能隨時、隨地於數位學習介面中討論驗證所學。但是，目前台灣佛教界還沒有建構跨院校之&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;佛教數位學習系統，來提升教學資源分享的成效，實在值得我們一起努力來共同建立，若能進而發展為「國際佛教數位學習協會」&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;(International Buddhist e-Learning Association&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;，&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt; IBELA)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;，則是全世界佛教徒之福，也是全人類之幸。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;h2&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;校慶雙喜︰「國立台灣科技大學」&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 150%;"&gt;與本校&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;締結姐妹校與「西藏文獻縮片集成」收藏&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 150%;" lang="EN-US"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/h2&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;本校在&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;2007&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;年已經完成與澳洲雪梨大學、比利時根特大學、美國史丹佛大學之交流結盟。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;2008&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;年&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;2&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;月&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;27&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;日，台灣科技大學陳校長希舜、彭教務長雲宏、圖書館吳館長瑞南、人文社會學院林院長茂松、企管系吳主任克振等一行來本校參訪（本校主管也於&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;3&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;月&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;12&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;日回訪），討論雙方將於本校校慶日&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;4&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;月&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;8&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;日締結校際學術合作之事宜，此為本校之國內第一所姐妹校，可說是學校歷史中的重要里程碑。初步研擬的學術交流項目︰博士班招生、人文科技講座與社會關懷方面之合作；台科大之台灣建築科技中心、資訊通訊安全中心、生態防災中心、人文社會學院與管理學院之資源對本校的支援，本校之佛學、禪修課程與人文資訊學對台科大的支援等，相信可開創台灣高等教育之人文與科技結盟新典範。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;4&lt;/span&gt;月&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;26&lt;/span&gt;日&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;(&lt;/span&gt;六&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;)&lt;/span&gt;，召開高等教育系列論壇，探討跨國雙聯學制的推動與展望，及具體落實教育國際化等議題。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;近年來，教育部積極鼓勵各校推動跨國雙聯學制，期望合作學校互動關係更長久密切。&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;根據教育部統計，與外國大學校院合作簽訂相關跨國雙聯學制合約校 數，於&lt;span /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;勝義菩提心之產生︰種子（信解）、生母（智慧）、子宮（禪定）、乳母（大悲）&lt;br /&gt;民國81年，我從日本回國後，除了在國立藝術學院（2001年改名為︰國立台北藝術大學）任教外，在在中華佛學研究所兼任授課，自民國86年開始教授一系列有關《大乘莊嚴經論》梵文典籍解讀與研討的課程。《大乘莊嚴經論》的漢譯本有13卷24品，內容以發揚《瑜伽師地論》＜菩薩地＞之種姓、發心、修行以及應修習之各種法門為主。現存之梵本是法國佛教學者萊維（S. &lt;a name="levi"&gt;L&lt;/a&gt;évi）於1898年得於尼泊爾而校訂出版。&lt;br /&gt;近日，課堂中討論到有關「最勝義」發菩提心之殊勝，從「產生」的角度來看，有四種意義︰(1)從對於法的信解為種子而來，(2)從般若波羅蜜之母而生，(3)在禪定所成的安樂胎藏中，(4)大悲為長養的乳母。換言之，將勝義菩提心之產生，以生育胎兒為譬喻，分為種子（信解）、生母（智慧）、子宮（禪定）、乳母（大悲）等四方面來討論（其他如《攝大乘論釋》、《大乘法界無差別論》等也有同樣的論點）。&lt;br /&gt;此中，將生母（智慧）與乳母（大悲）分開來生育兒女，這在世間常見，容易了解。但是，一般情形是生母即是子宮的提供者，為何又將子宮另外提出來論，則是特別，不容易想像。難道是古代已有之「借腹生子」或類似現代醫學技術之「代理孕母」的情況。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;借腹生子、代理孕母&lt;br /&gt;根據日本東京大學文學部教授岸本美緒的研究︰在中國明清兩代民間某些地區（以浙江省為中心，擴及福建省的一部份）稱租妻、典妻為「租肚子」，以此傳宗接代的一種方法。這些「租肚子」的男人通常都是因為原有妻子不能生育、或是家道貧困無力娶妻，才出此下策。但是，根據明清法律，妻子若無失婦道，禁止丈夫任意典雇或嫁賣妻子。但是在特殊情況下，例如家境貧困不得已、經官府認定妻子有犯姦或逃亡事實、或妻子本人同意被賣為奴婢，則不在懲處之列。違法賣妻、典妻者的刑罰，則由「杖六十」到「杖一百」間不等，嚴重時還會被流放外地，買賣雙方都須受罰。至於，在印度的情形如何？與《大乘莊嚴經論》等佛典所說的狀況有何關係則有待進一步的研究。&lt;br /&gt;現代醫學發達，如果有習慣性流產者、先天無子宮者或子宮異常者、後天因病切除子宮者、子宮腔嚴重粘連無法治癒者，或者有重大疾病而懷孕恐有害身心者，可經由「人工協助生殖術」(human-assisted reproduction)等方式來達成生育的目的。例如︰醫師可取出該女性的卵子，藉助試管嬰兒技術，與男性的精子在體外受精培養，並將胚胎植入某位受託女性（surrogate；代理孕者）的子宮。此外，若女性有卵子方面的問題，也有可能由某位受託女性（surrogate mother；代理孕母）提供的卵子與子宮來達成生育的目的。&lt;br /&gt;但是，代理孕母所延伸的倫理與法律問題也引起相當的爭議。例如︰我國行政院衛生署於1997年宣布考慮代理孕母合法化，並著手研議立法，則引發了國內各界學者專家以及民間人士熱烈討論︰如何在保障夫婦繁殖下一代和建立一個有兒女的家庭的權益，與代理孕母商業化、親子倫理顧慮、婦女人權考量等問題之間，取得適當的平衡點的議題。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;菩提心的不孕症？&lt;br /&gt;除了因子宮問題所造成不孕外，男女雙方的先天疾病、內分泌失調、結構異常或疾病造成生殖通路阻塞等，都會造成精卵缺少或品質不假，或者受精的途上受阻，也會造成受孕或者著床子宮的困難。醫學界人士認為︰不孕症愈來愈多是未來的趨勢。因為除了晚婚、晚生的夫妻大幅地增加外，性開放的社會風氣導致生殖系統容易感染的現象，以及環境污染與社會壓力的增加，也是不孕人口增加的原因。&lt;br /&gt;從心靈層次來看，我們不希望「菩提心的不孕症」是未來的趨勢。因為，眾生若沒有菩提心，則無法開展以利益眾生為主的菩薩道；若沒有廣大的菩薩道，則無法建立人間淨土。為了預防與治療此「菩提心的不孕症」，我們除了發願以受菩薩戒儀式，作為事相上發菩提心的方便之外，也可以採用《大乘莊嚴經論》等佛典所說︰產生勝義發菩提心之四種因緣︰培育對大乘佛法信解的種子，以無相、無住的般若智慧為生母，安住於禪定所成的安樂胎藏中，讓大悲心作乳母來長養我們的菩提心。如此，才是家庭與社會幸福，世界和平安樂的要素。&lt;div 釋惠敏&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;國立臺北藝術大學的鐘樓在2005年12月底安置了校鐘，並且從2006年２月開始，每天由警衛人員於早上８點半、中午12點半、下午５點試敲，共三次；每次三聲，共9聲。如此，校鐘每天扮演提醒全校師生︰上課、中餐、下課，勉勵莘莘學子︰學問猶如煉丹，每天九次提煉，「９轉９還」功若成，定將凡愚返智慧。同時，隨著沈穩嘹亮的鐘聲，我們感受到警衛人員「寒暑風雨、鐘鳴不已」盡忠職守的責任感，讓校園師生安心教學。&lt;br /&gt;記憶中，本校前前任校長劉思量教授，也有為本校鐘樓安置校鐘的構想，但因緣未成熟。前任校長邱坤良（現任文建會主委）教授，於去年交付本人募置本校鐘的任務，但籌募因緣不成，所以有幸改由我個人捐贈。建置校鐘期間，感謝邱校長全力支持，總務處同仁盡心盡力承辦，李祖原建築師事務所積極配合設計鐘架，法鼓山信徒施建昌先生為我四處訪價監造校鐘，終於完成此「重任」（550公斤）。此外，在我代理校長期間，某次主管會報的例會中，美術學院院長林章湖教授隨緣致贈主管們他的墨寶，本人隨機拿到一幅「鐘聲遠」草書，我覺得很適合刻置於鐘樓，以莊嚴校鐘的意義。於是請美術系黎志文老師協助刻置成碑，並鑲嵌於鐘樓壁上，希望隨著嘹「遠」的鐘聲，鼓勵師生︰士不可以不弘毅，任重而道「遠」。&lt;br /&gt;本來，邱校長在任期間，就有提起要安排校鐘啟用典禮事宜。但是，不久他被延攬入閣，於1月25日擔任文建會主委。所以，大家想若能藉由邀請邱主委回校擔任今年６月２４日畢業典禮貴賓的因緣，同時舉辦「國立臺北藝術大學校鐘啟用典禮」，以圓滿此功德，不也善哉？並且以此祝福校園「久」安長治，祝福畢業生，志向高「遠」。&lt;div
